The Lodge

I’ve only been here since Saturday evening and I’m already tempted to give away the return half of my train ticket. Even after such a short time, I know I’m not going to want to go home. I live in Hertfordshire and under the noisy, congested, flight-path into Stansted airport. So, needless to say, I’m relishing the space, quite and fresh air of this part of Scotland
It was so nice this morning to be able to walk along a track all the way from the lodge to Benmore Botanic Garden. I saw so many birds and disturbed at least three deer.
The traditionally built wooden lodge is situated on a really quiet site. Owls call until late into the night and red squirrels are in the trees.
This really is a lovely way to live.
